There was an ethereal glow around the trees that now blocked her winter view of the lake. The colors seemed to shift slowly from a true pink to a peachy mist, to a golden shimmer, then to such a pale yellow that it was nearly white. There were small shafts of the night sky in the mist that slowly brightened with spikes of cool violet and icy blue.
Icy blue. That pretty well descibed her mood and the crisp, breezy air outside. Staying wrapped in this warm blanket with a view of the sunrise was a moment she would have gladly sustained through the rest of the day, were that possible.
